Pittwater – a Natural Heritage Too Good to Lose!

Pittwater is very fortunate to have retained a variety of bushland areas and remnant native vegetation on private land and roadsides.

We still have many native birds, marsupials, reptiles, insects and other fauna now lost from most of Sydney’s suburban areas.

Our landforms are diverse and beautiful, from rainforest gullies to steep boulder strewn slopes, rocky outcrops and escarpments.

Ocean beaches and dunes, spectacular heath and grassy headlands, wetlands, creeks, estuaries, woodland and tall forests. Pittwater has them all! …..

Beyond these natural treasures, we have a community that values our environment and speaks out in its defence. Join us, and help keep Pittwater a special place, for now and for future generations.
