Pittwater Natural Heritage Association opposes the development of Currawong.
The entire site of Currawong is now listed on the State Heritage register by the NSW State Heritage Council.
Development of this site would destroy historic buildings, the bushland and the character of the area. We believe it should be added to Ku-ring-gai National Park.
Now Ecovillages have bought the site, (announced early December 2009) any development will be heavily constrained by Currawong’s heritage listing.
The consent authority will now be Pittwater Council.
